Zadar Airport - ZAD, is located in Zemunik Donji about 12 km from the old town centre. The very small airport each year serves around 500.000 passengers of which the wast majority are tourists arriving with Ryanair and other low cost airlines.
Getting to Zadar from airport Zadar:
The budget version of travelling to Zadar from the airport is to take the airport bus which is parked just outside the airport terminal. From the airport the bus first drives to the main bus station and then continues to the old town. If your accommodation is near the drop off locations and you don't mind dragging your luggage, the airport shuttle should be just fine. If you are one of those who just want to get to their apartment / hotels as fast and hassle free as possible, you can for a few additional Euros pre order a transfer to any location within Zadar.
⇒ Door to door service (no long walks with heavy suitcase)
⇒ Cheaper than taxi
⇒ No waiting at the airport, the driver is there when you arrive, even if your plane is delayed.
⇒ Vehicles available for larger groups as well (you always travel together)

NOTE: If you are staying in Zadar Borik or Zadar Diklo, walking from the drop off location of the airport bus is not an option (about 3 km). You can, however, take a city bus to these city parts from the main bus station but this is not what you call hassle free travelling :-)
